Meet the Founder of The iCount Method®

My name is Shoshie Cweiber. I’m a mathematics specialist and educator with over 20 years of mathematics experience. After years of teaching math, I realized that our traditional models were NOT working. Children lacked the core comprehension to expand on math at higher grades or more abstract levels.

They were never really taught the ‘why’ and ‘how’ of math.

I set out to develop a method that our children will truly understand, and one that teachers could easily teach. After years of research I developed The iCount Method® workshops. These workshops were the impetus for The iCount Method® workbooks. After ten years, The iCount Method® curriculum workbooks became a reality! Teachers now had a workbook that would help them implement The iCount Method® workshops in their classrooms.

Our comprehensive series of math workbooks, math fluency books, and other proven instructional tools was developed to support student success in mathematics. To further ensure sustained achievement, a new program, iKnow by The iCount Method®, was launched.

iKnow by The iCount Method® is ideal for schools with limited instructional time or for students who benefit from a simplified, streamlined curriculum. The program is designed to deliver strong outcomes efficiently while maintaining high instructional standards.

However, the commitment to student success in math, life, and future careers did not end there. Recognizing the need for practical, real-world application, I developed How to Make Money and Keep It, Math in the Real World, a structured curriculum focused on financial literacy and applied mathematical reasoning. This series teaches students how to apply foundational math skills to everyday situations such as budgeting, saving, comparing costs, managing bank accounts, and making informed financial decisions. By translating abstract concepts into meaningful, real-life contexts, Math in the Real World strengthens conceptual understanding, enhances problem-solving skills, and equips students with essential tools for long-term academic and life success—teaching students not only how to make money, but how to manage and retain it.

Together, these programs prepare students to use math confidently in real-world situations and enter the workforce with practical, transferable skills. To date, I have successfully trained teachers in over 200 schools and look forward to partnering with your staff to help achieve your school’s math goals.
